Placenta-print filmposter
2013

contentposters1contentposters2

Limited run of film posters for (my own and Yves Sondermeier’s feature film debut) The Miracle Of Life. The film tells the story of a living placenta.
Each poster is handprinted using the “placenta-print” technique. The protagonistic creature from the film is used as a stamp, leaving a thick, bloody and texture-rich imprint on each slightly unique poster.

As a promotional stunt, a blank poster (with the film’s info) was offered online to young mothers who could use their own placenta and blood to make a custom placenta print poster.

2-disc Special Edition DVD
2014
published by Zeno Pictures
Digipak, slipcase, discs, promo lobby card

BG_miraclegraph_title
Cult label Zeno Pictures distributes The Miracle in Belgium and the Netherlands. This particular edition was aimed at rare-movie collectors; we needed a nicely detailed colorful design to match the insanity of the little movies on the bonus disc. The two-disc package was launched at the 2014 FACTS convention, with free popcorn and a piece of “meat” of one of the actual placenta puppets used in the movie.

To finance expensive festival submissions, a VHS cassette edition was offered for sale on the film’s website. The tape was limited to 100 copies, handmade and umbilical-cord numbered. The retro novelty aspect of this stunt called for appropriate 80s style artwork.
